Fly Fishing with Liza Jane at 6 Ranch

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make my deposit and final payment?

Once you’ve emailed with Liza Jane and confirmed your dates and times, you’ll receive an email with a link to make the deposit payment. A few weeks before your reservation date, you’ll receive an additional email to make the remainder of your payment.

What equipment do I need?

6 Ranch provides rods and reels set-up with all the flies for the trip. You can also bring your own gear, of course. We usually don't wear waders in the summer, but you are welcome to bring yours. Please always include a belt for safety.

How’s access to the river?

This is walk and wade fishing. And if you’re unstable in the river, you can still have a great trip from the bank.

How does our day start?

Meet at Liza Jane's Farm Stand, on Highway 82, just 5 miles from Enterprise.

What species can I expect? Can I keep them?

Rainbow trout. Our fishing program is catch and release only.

How do refunds work?

If we cancel, your deposit is refunded and we reschedule if possible. There have been rare times when water temps were too high and we chose to reduce stress on the fish, cancelling some of our trips. Otherwise, we’re here to get you on the river!

If you need to cancel, we will do our best to reschedule for a different date, but will not refund your deposit.

Can we have groups of more than 2 people for one date?

Yes! Some of our dearest friends and family are also fishing guides and are available for guiding. We offer a guide for 1-2 people, and can accommodate larger groups at that ratio.

How much experience do I need? Do you have age limits?

We will meet you wherever you are in your experience. Standard trips are for people over 18.

Do you supply food and drink?

Not at this time, but we'll carry bottled drinks for you.

Sunscreen & mosquito repellant?

Yes and yes. Always a good idea to bring some for your comfort.

Ramble on.

Views from the saddle.

From here, for here.

Our immediate family — Adele, James, Liza Jane — all live on the 6 Ranch. We live, work, laugh, love, and play together here with our families. We also have each other’s backs when it comes to individual passion projects.
